Although I don’t post very often, there hasn’t been a day in the past month that I haven’t gotten a hit. So, to those of you who are lurking out there -reading but not commenting and reading the same posts over and over again in anticipation of some new material, thank you.

I’ve been posting on WordPress for a few days now. There are both things I like and things I don’t. I do have to admit that I’m addicted to the stats page. It’s a reverse voyeuristic joy to look at the people who are looking at my posts. I actually can’t see who they are, but I can see where they came from. Additionally, there’s a nifty graph that rates my popularity -who wouldn’t like that. The graph helped me realize why some people get addicted to their blogs. It’s a downer to go from 50 hits one day to 20 the next and then 7 the next. I find myself wondering what edgy subject I can write about to get my readership to go back up. My search for upward graph movement even led me to Hillary’s presidential webpage in search of something I could be witty about. Luckily, I got a hold of myself and won’t stoop to that level.
All in all, I like WordPress better than LiveJournal. I do miss being able to post my moods, what I’m hearing, and where I am. Although it didn’t add much to the posts, it allowed a bit of reflection.
